We are a Canadian Family owned and operated Bakery. Gemaro Bakery was founded by Margaret & Robert Mayer since late 2016, and started to bake off fresh loaves early 2017. We founded Gemaro Bakery as we saw there was a desperate need for people with Food Allergies & Dietary restrictions. All too many people are left out.
People sometimes ask “why did we open up a “Gluten Free Bakery”. We always tell them, we didn’t! We spend a lot of time, effort, money and R&D on opening a Top 8 ALLERGEN FREE Bakery. Everything we do is 100% Plant-based & free of Gluten, Eggs, Dairy, Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame, Preservatives and of course (Shellfish, Fish and other Animal Products)
We make and bake our loaves from scratch, by hand, just like bread is supposed to be made. All our recipes and formulations are ‘our originals’, using traditional European baking methods.
We only use ingredients that you’d find and can pronounce! “Can’t read it- won’t eat it”. Our steady growing customer base agrees with our brand promise.
