Cacao, Cascara, & Rose Tisane
We love collaborating with like minded individuals. It allows both sides to get creative and push the boundaries even further. And this Cacao, Cascara & Rose Tisane is the prime example of just that
We use what we call cacao husk to bring a chocolatey aroma and flavour to this tea. The husk (or shell) of the cacao seed is typically discarded as it is not used in the chocolate making process.
The cascara is the dried fruit from the coffee cherry. SInce coffee uses only the seed, the fruit itself is typically discarded. Once again, its packed with flavour - reminding us of cherries and honey.
Dried rose is added for its delicate floral properties and it complements both the cacao husk and coffee cascara. You'll see what we mean once you crack open the lid of the tea tin itself!
Delicate chocolate flavours with a hint of sweetness. The cacao husk shines bright both through the aroma and flavour. The rose is there moreso in aroma, and rounds out the flavours of both the cacao and cascara nicely.
Mix 1 tsp with 12oz of hot water (just off boil) and let steep for 6 minutes. This tea benefits from a longer steep time and can be enjoyed with the loose leaf steeping longer as you sip.
